Here is the updated calendar of events for Jefferson Elementary (scroll down)
October 20-20 Reading Program begins Jefferson Elementary is offering an “at home” supplemental reading program called “20-20”. We ask each student to read at home for 20 minutes a day, 20 different days each month throughout the school year.
October 1-5- Scholastic Book Fair
October 3rd - Picture Day
October – April – Jefferson “After School” Programs – Will begin October 2 and will finish at the end of April. The classes will be held from 3:20-4:20 pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Transportation to normal bus stops will be provided by Manistee Area Public Schools. Snacks will be offered for all students in attendance. Your child will stay for “After School Programs” only with the written permission form returned.
October 4- Special Friends & Grandparents Day
Kindergarten & 1st grade: 12:45-1:45
2nd & 3rd grade: 2:00-3:00
October 8-26 – 3rd grade MEAP (Math & ELA). An informative student letter will be sent home with your 3rd grade child prior to the testing dates.
October 8 – PTO Meeting at Jefferson at 7:00 pm (2nd Mondays of each month)
October 9 – Popcorn ($0.25/bag orders taken in the classroom) (2nd Tuesday of each month)
October 15 – Soccer Club Pizza Hut Buffet from 5:00-7:00 pm. Tickets are $1.00 from any soccer club member or at the door and entitles you to $1.00 off the buffet.
October 15-31- United Way Penny Wars
October 16- Slushy Day ($0.50, 100% fruit juice, and ordered & served at lunch time) (3rd Tuesday of each month)
- Frankenmuth product delivered
October 23- Bake Sale (4th Tuesday of each month)
- Frankenmuth product money due
October 26 – PTO Fall Harvest Fun Day –. We need some volunteers to help this day be successful. Some volunteers are needed to help run it and some are needed to help from home. We will have story readers, donuts, cider, games, and pumpkin crafts. More information will be coming shortly. Please contact Renee Myers at 398-9866 if you can help us out. Thanks!!
