Mike Swanson initially graduated from Davenport College with a Bachelors Degree in Business. After working for 11 years as an accountant in the private sector, he returned to school at Grand Valley State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, with a minor in Economics. For 10 years he taught algebra, geometry, applied mathematics, and economics at Manistee High School and he is currently teaching mathematics at Manistee Middle School.  Mr. Swanson recently earned a Masters Degree in Education Leadership. He is the Varsity Golf Coach at Manistee High School.
